Nuvio is a high powered streaming application that is available for both Android mobile phones/tablets as well as streaming devices like Android TV/Google TV and Fire TV.

Similar to the Stremio App, Nuvio TV is a full fledged content hub that is built around user-installed addons that provide the streams you are looking for.

However, it also has tons of advanced features including the ability to create User Profiles, sync to all devices, add/manage Plugins, and more.

Currently, Nuvio is still in Beta but it is working extremely well for watching high definition Movies, Shows, and Live Television.

This is one you will want to keep an eye on as it grows towards a stable release, however, users can still install the Beta for free using our tutorial below.

After installation, we also show how to configure and install 3rd Party Stremio Addons into Nuvio TV which is how you will find the content you are looking for.

In this guide, we are using the Onn 4K Pro to access Nuvio TV. However, these instructions will also work on other media devices like Firestick/Fire TV, popular Android/Google TV Boxes, as well as various Smart TVs.

How to Install & Configure Nuvio TV

There are a few different steps to follow in order to use Nuvio which include creating a free account, integrating 3rd party addons, and installing/syncing the APK to your media device.

Step 1 – Create Free Nuvio Account

1. Visit the offical Nuvio website – nuvioapp.space and click Log In.

2. Input your email/password and click Create Account.

NOTE: Make sure to use an Anonymous Email Provider such as StartMail to ensure your personal information is safe from developers, hackers, and more.

3. You are now in the Nuvio Account Dashboard. (More info on this below)

4. You can now Add/Edit Profiles with names and more.

Step 2 – Add 3rd Party Addons

Within the Nuvio Dashboard is also the ability to add 3rd Party Addons and Plugins. If you wish to skip this step, you can also install addons directly through the Nuvio App but this process takes a bit longer.

We recommend integrating Stremio Addons with Manifest URLs which we show how to do below.  In this example, we’re using MediaFusion but Troy uses Torrentio and USA Channels in the video tutorial above.  We do this to show that you can install any Stremio addon that you wish within Nuvio TV.

1. From the main Dashboard, select Addons.

2. Click Add Addon.

3. Input your preferred Stremio Addon URL and click Save.

4. You will then see the addon installed in your Addons List.

Step 3 – Install Nuvio TV APK

After configuring the app for use, we will now install it on Android/Google TV Box or Firestick. If using an Android phone/tablet, you can also install using the steps below.

1. Install Downloader by AFTVNews from your device’s app store. Enable Unknown Sources within Settings and launch the application for use.

2. Type 250931 into the URL Bar which is the official Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox.

3. You are now on the TROYPOINT Toolbox home page which is full of tons of useful streaming platforms and more.

4. Scroll down to find Nuvio and click TV Download. If using an Android phone/tablet, choose this download.

Those with a 64-Bit device such as the Powerstation 6 should select the 64-Bit variation.

5. Click Install.

6. Select Done.

7. Choose Delete to delete the installation file.

8. Click Delete again.

9. Return to your home screen and you will see the Nuvio App listed.

Installation is now complete!

Step 4 – Sync Your Nuvio Profile

1. Launch the Nuvio App and you are provided with the following screen. Scan the QR Code and Sign In to your Nuvio account to sync to your streaming device.

2. Choose the Profile you wish to use.

3. You may be prompted to install a new update to the application. If you see this message, click Download.

Nuvio Features, Details, & More

After launching you will go through a few introductory messages that will help you set up the app for use. This includes the ability to change the layout/design of the user interface.

As you can see, Nuvio has a high level user interface that lets you browse tons of media for your enjoyment.

Menu items available include Search, Library, Addons, and Settings.

Within the Addons Menu is the option to access/manage your Addons list and install them via Manifest URL if you wish to do so.

(Those who want to install addons within the app will likely want to use the Google TV App which will speed up the typing process).

You can easily reorder these by using the Up/Down arrows.

Using the Catalogs option is a great way to adjust the content that will display on your Nuvio home screen.

There are other customization features available including the ability to choose your color theme/appearance.

There are tons of Layout Options available including Home Layout, Content, Detail Page, Poster Style, and more.

Users can adjust playback Settings including Trailers, Player/Stream Selections, and Subtitles.

One of the best Playback features is the ability to Skip Intros!

Auto-Stream is automatically set to Manual but you can enable this if you prefer.

If you wish to use an External Video Player, you can do so as well.

The best way to familiarize yourself with Nuvio TV is by installing and browsing the app to see all available features/details.

Nuvio Plugins

Nuvio functions a bit differently than other APKs as users have the ability to install both 3rd Party Addons or “Plugins” if they prefer.

Plugins function differently than Addons as they use provider sources (API) to serve up links directly to your application. These host different repositories or providers which are scraped by Nuvio to give you HD links for Films/Series.

This is similar to the CloudStream Application which uses Repositories/Extensions that you can enable and disable within Settings.

In contrast, most Addons use Torrent Providers and can be paired with popular Debrid Services which work to serve up your streaming links.

If you wish to integrate a Plugin, you can do so within your Account Dashboard or directly through the app.

• Visit nuvioapp.space/account and under the Plugins menu, choose Add Plugin.

• Input your Plugin URL and a Name. We used the following: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/yoruix/nuvio-providers/refs/heads/main/manifest.json
• Click Save.

• You will see Plugin added message.

Re-launch the application and you will see your Plugin installed with included Repositories/Providers.

After making a content selection, you will now see Plugin sources listed with links available.

Account Dashboard

There are tons of configuration options users can manage within the Account Dashboard on the official Nuvio website.

As referenced above, you can easily Add, Refresh, and Manage Users Profiles including names and the ability to adjust different addons/plugins for each Profile.

You can also arrange/edit/delete Addons and Plugins quickly and seamlessly.

Another fabulous feature is the ability to view your Watch Progress and Delete/Add if you prefer to do so.

Using the Account Dashboard is one of the major benefits to Nuvio and makes it extremely versatile for all users.

Audio Not Working

Many users have noted that they encounter audio issues during playback of Films and Shows. If you are running into problems with the Audio in your Nuvio app, try this to fix it.

• Select Prefer app decoders (FFmpeg).

Nuvio Media Hub on iOS

Nuvio is currently offering their app through the TestFlight beta option but it is currently full.  We will cover Nuvio TV on iOS when it is available to the public.

Troy’s Review

Nuvio is without a doubt the latest and greatest APK to hit the streaming scene in quite some time.

The biggest advantage is the ability to create and manage User Profiles which is something we don’t see with the Stremio app.

Navigation is extremely fast and so are the sources provided which is what really sets this apart from other Popular APKs.

We are extremely impressed with the overall quality of Nuvio, especially since the application is still in Beta.

In all likelihood, Nuvio will quickly become the go to application for all cord-cutters streamers and we hope to see new upgrades and features added as it continues toward stable release.
