P-Stream Shuts Down After Pressure from ACE/MPA – Yeah IPTV
The popular free streaming portal P-Stream has shut down. Its operator pulled the plug after the Motion Picture Association (MPA) and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) filed a DMCA subpoena.
The site had grown into one of the most visited pirate platforms on the web, drawing close to ten million visits per month. For cord-cutters looking for free movies and TV shows, it was a go-to streaming site. That era is now over.
How P-Stream Got Caught in the Crosshairs
Last month, ACE and the MPA obtained DMCA subpoenas at a California federal court. These legal orders forced Cloudflare and Discord to hand over personal information tied to several domains, including pstream.mov.
ACE has relied on this tactic for years. Many site operators use fake registration data, so these subpoenas often turn up nothing useful. This time around, the pressure worked.
The operator left a public shutdown note on the original website (pstream.mov) highlighting that legal costs were too high to fight, even though Pas claims the platform never hosted any infringing content directly. Discord had already removed the project’s server before this latest action.

A Familiar Pattern for Free Streaming Sites
P-Stream launched in April 2024 after a similar portal called movie-web was forced offline by Hollywood. The code behind it was built on sudo-flix, which itself came from the original movie-web project. Each time one of these sites goes dark, new versions appear using the same open-source code.

There is even a welcome message on this new version saying ‘P-Stream is Back’ with a link to the GitHub repository. Whether the operator controls those repositories is unclear, but history tells us someone will try again.

Final Thoughts from Troy
It didn’t take long for a new version of P-Stream to surface online, proving that shutting down one site does little to stop the demand. Anti-piracy groups may have celebrated this as a win, but history keeps repeating itself.
