This guide features the STRMR Application with a detailed installation tutorial as well as a thorough review of this platform.

STRMR is a new streaming APK that works with various debrid services to provide Movies and Television Series for your viewing pleasure.

It also has Stremio Addon support so you can integrate your preferred 3rd party addons which is what the app uses to scrape for streaming links.

STRMR features a simple, well-polished user interface that makes browsing extremely easy on all compatible media devices.

The app has undergone major updates which include compatibility on Firestick and Fire TV Devices which previously were not available.

In this tutorial, we are using the Onn 4K Plus from Walmart but our guide can be followed using any Android/Google TV or Fire TV you prefer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: STRMR requires users to sign in with a Google account to access the application. If you do not wish to use your personal account, we recommend creating a secondary Google account without your own personal information.

How to Install STRMR App

NOTE: STRMR now uses an official website to pair your device with your Google Account. Make sure to see our screenshots below the video guide that shows this process step by step.

We have broken our guide down into 4 separate steps which include installation, Google account authorization, debrid service integration, and Stremio addon install.

Step 1 – Install STRMR via TROYPOINT Toolbox

1. Install Downloader (if you haven’t already), and enable Unknown Sources to enable sideloading. Launch the application.

2. Click the URL bar and input the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox – 250931 and click Go.

3. Wait for the redirect page to load.

4. Scroll down to find STRMR and click Download.

5. Wait for the file to download.

6. Click Install.

7. Select Done.

8. Choose delete (this removes the installation file and frees up space on your device).

9. Click Delete again.

Step 2 – Activate Your Device & Connect Google Account

As referenced earlier, users must sign in to STRMR with a functioning Google account. If you do not wish to use your personal account, make a secondary account that you can use with this guide.

1. Open the STRMR App and you are presented with an Authorization Code.

2. On your PC or other device, use your favorite browser and visit strmr.net/link (Official STRMR Website). Input the Code from previous step and click Verify Code.

3. Click Continue with Google.

4. Choose your Secondary Google Account and you will see Device Linked! message.

Click Go to Dashboard to continue with the Setup Process.

Step 3 – Add Your Accounts

NOTE: While Steps 3 and 4 can be completed within the Application, we strongly recommend configuring your STRMR within the Dashboard on the official website as shown below.

1. You are now in the Main Dashboard of your STRMR Account. On the left-hand menu, select Accounts.

2. Click Connect to Trakt if you wish to authorize your Trakt Account.

3. Scroll down and under Cloud Library Service, click Connect for your preferred Debrid Provider(s). Currently, the following platforms are supported:

4. Choose your Authorization method.

5. Authenticate and you will see success message appear.

Step 4 – Integrate Stremio Addons

In order for streaming links to appear, we must also add a “Scraper” by integrating a Stremio Addon as shown below.

STRMR provides two methods to install 3rd party addons. Users import an addon with a Manifest URL or use a pre-configured “bundle” which is a package of addons that you can install with one click!

We provide steps for both options below.

Install Addon Bundle

1. Visit strmr-addons.netlify.app.

2. Choose between bundle options and click Copy Bundle Link.

3. Return to your STRMR Dashboard and open the Addons tab. Paste the addon Bundle URL into the Quick Add bar and click Import.

4. You will then see the addons installed message.

Addon Bundle installation is complete!

Install Individual 3rd Party Addon(s)

If you wish to install individual addons, use the following instructions.

1. From the Settings menu, select Addons.

2. Click Install Addon.

3. Input the URL for your preferreed Addon (we added Comet & Torrentio), and click Install.

4. The addon installed successfully message will appear.

Step 5 – Collections (Optional)

If you want to take it a step further, you can choose to install “Collections” which are custom collections of Trakt/MDBList categories with images.

This is a great way to improve your browsing experience when searching for a Movie/Show within STRMR.

1. Within the Dashboard, select Collections and click New Collection.

2. Input a Collection Name.

3. Click Add Item.

4. Visit https://duckkota.gitlab.io/guides/collections/ to find your preferred Collection Image and Link URLs.

Input these into their respective lines and click Add.

5. Click Create Collection.

6. You will see your created Collection is now listed.

7. Now, open Layout & Rows on the side menu and click Collections.

8. Click Add next to your created Collection.

9. You will now see your Collection within the Home Dashboard of the STRMR App.

You can add as many Collections as you’d like. Enjoy!

STRMR Features & Details

There are a few added settings you can adjust to personalize the app to your liking.

STRMR is automatically set to “auto-play” which means it will choose a streaming link for you. If you want to change this (which we suggest), you can do so under the Link Resolving tab in the menu bar.

Click the toggle for “Autoselect Link” to disable auto play.

Another great feature is the Link Filtering option where you can enable/disable various quality resolutions and adjust bitrate limits.

Within the Dashboard are other various Settings such as the ability to customize your interface by changing accent color, expanding posters on focus, and more.

You can also manage the Layout & Rows by enabling/disabling your preferred Catalogs and dragging and dropping them to your preference.

Within the Addons tab is the ability to drag and drop the order of your installed addons for content results.

If you wish to enable Autoplay Next Episode, you will find this in the Playback Settings.

Under Accounts are all available Debrid Providers for instant authorization.

Once you have the app fine-tuned to your liking, you can begin watching films and shows by browsing the STRMR interface. Enjoy!

Self-Hosted STRMR

It is important to note that there is another variation of the STRMR App which is a self hosted version of this application with native Mobile and TV Apps.  It seems that these are created by two different developers and have nothing to do with each other.

STRMR App Review

There are some positive and negative things about STRMR which include the following:

What We Don’t Like

• Google Account Sign In Required
• Setup doesn’t sync across devices
• As of 1/10/2026 Microphone Not Working (see video above)
• Minor Bugs

Overall, we are impressed with STRMR and the functionality it provides, serving up both Films and Shows that play in high definition.

While fairly new to the streaming landscape, it appears to function similarly to Stremio and various other APKs that require external scrapers for resolving.

We like this method as it adds and extra layer of personalization where users can integrate their preferred addons or other sources and watch HD media.

Unfortunately, the requirement of a Google Sign In is not something we like to see as doing this strips anonymity and will give developers access to some of your personal information.  If they eventually use this to sync STRMR setup to all devices then it’s definitely a positive and we think that’s where they are eventually going with this.  Again, a simple workaround as shown in the video above is to create a burner Google account that you only use for this application.

The developer is constantly pushing out updates and we hope to see some changes to STRMR in the future and will monitor as it continues to receive development!
