Sflix, HDtoday, and Other Popular Pirate Sites Go Offline – Yeah IPTV

Sflix, HDtoday, Myflixerz, and dozens of other popular pirate streaming sites suddenly went dark this week.

Visitors are greeted with Cloudflare 521 errors instead of free movies and shows. A 521 error means the origin server is refusing the connection as Cloudflare has not blocked the sites.

The back-end machines serving the pages have stopped responding, and no anti-piracy group has claimed credit.

Sflix and HDtoday Already on the MPA’s Radar

Sflix, HDtoday, Myflixerz, and Fmovies are “zombie” brands. The original free streaming sites were shut down years ago, but new operators keep reviving the names because the traffic still pours in.

This ongoing game of ‘streaming whac a mole’ with pirate website operators and anti-piracy authorities will never end.

The Motion Picture Association flagged Sflix and Myflixerz as a priority threat in its latest notorious markets submission. According to the MPA, this single piracy ring pulled in 622 million visits in August 2025 alone.

A Shared Backend Appears to Have Failed

Why would so many unrelated sites drop at the same moment? Most of them share a “Piracy-as-a-Service” backend. Front-end sites pull streams from providers like MegaCloud and VidCloud, which also host the websites themselves.

If that shared infrastructure goes offline, every site riding on top of it goes with it. This would be the biggest disruption to streaming piracy since ACE took down 2embed back in 2023.

Final Thoughts from Troy

An outage this big is a rare win for the anti-piracy side, but history says ‘zombie brands’ rarely stay dead for long. New clones usually resurface within days under fresh hosting.

The bigger question is whether enforcement actually changes behavior. The MPA keeps pushing for site blocking, yet demand only grows as streaming subscription prices climb.
