The popular streaming site Soap2Day was officially closed.

One of the most popular free movie streaming sites in the world, Soap2Day has officially shut down after several years of service.

The site attracted millions of monthly visitors from around the world who used it to stream thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows.

If you visit the original official website of Soap2Day (soap2day.to), the operators posted the following message:

“Hello folks: We have decided to close Soap2day forever. We are very sorry 🙂 Bye”

Although it’s unclear what was going on behind the scenes, we scanned this URL via VirusTotal and found that a malicious file was flagged.

If we see flagged files in VirusTotal, it’s a trusted one VPN is pretty much required to protect your online identity and security.

There is also a Soap2Day Twitter account posting updates on the situation.
